报告题目:On asymptotic stability of Boussinesq equations without thermal conduction
报告摘要:We consider the motion of viscous incompressible fluid under the action of gravitation/buoyancy modeled by the Boussinesq equations in the absence of thermal conduction, which is a nonlinear elliptic-parabolic-hyperbolic coupled system. A specific steady solution is considered in a two/three-dimensional stripe domain. Under suitable boundary conditions we show global existence and decay rates of solutions to the perturbed system with small initial data. This in turn implies asymptotic stability of the specific stationary solution. Some possible extensions will also be discussed.

报告人简介
孙永忠,南京大学教授,博士生导师。主要研究兴趣是流体力学中的非线性偏微分方程。在可压缩Navier-Stokes方程解的正则性和爆破判别准则、Boussinesq方程组和磁流体力学方程组的整体适定性以及理想磁流体自由边界问题等方面做了一系列工作。在CPAM,CMP,ARMA,JMPA,JDE,Nonlinearity等国际期刊上发表多篇论文。
